About

ABOUT SEYKU

Seyku transforms ancient knowledge into contemporary form.

Rather than looking to the past for inspiration, we translate its symbols, structures and systems into forms that belong to the Ancient Future.

Rooted in cultural memory and guided by meaning, our collections explore four fundamental themes:

KYBELE — ROOT

Inspired by ancient Anatolian forms and organic structures.

BEINGS — INTUITION

Symbolic figures shaped by collective memory and cultural narratives.

MARKS — TRACE

Ancient marks, symbols and writing systems translated into contemporary form.

RATIO — REASON

Inspired by the mathematics of nature, relation and geometry, where meaning emerges through structure.

Together, these collections form an evolving system — one that carries knowledge from the past, translates it through the present, and leaves new meanings for the future.

Each piece begins with a relation.

A balance.

A structure.

Appearance follows.

What remains is meaning.

THE DESIGNER

SEYKU was founded by Seyran Kurtuluş Öztürk, a designer based in Istanbul.

Her work explores the relationship between symbols, mythology, cultural memory and form. Through SEYKU, she translates ancient systems of meaning into contemporary objects, creating jewellery that connects intuition and reason, memory and form, the ancient and the contemporary.

SEYKU is both a personal design practice and an ongoing exploration of how meaning can be carried through form.
